Kae yanked down on the edge of his much too short skirt, the annoyance plastered clearly on his pale face. Tonight was far too cold for prancing around in a little skirt and a pound of make-up on his face. He looked like a New York, geisha hooker hybrid, for gods sake. And, no matter how accurate that statement might have seemed considering his occupation, the term was nevertheless, degrading. Still, he walked out from behind his little hideaway towards his usual post by the curb, a wicked grin spread across his face. Despite his chattering teeth and chilled skin, Kae did his best to keep the plastic grin on his face as he surveyed the street for possible clients. A few of his regulars caught his eye, but he wasn't interested in their vile company tonight; or any night really. Men like that, the one in suits who probably had a wife and kids waiting for them back home, he couldn't stand, but he had a job to do. No matter what the cost might be.
Sauntering over, his thin black heels clicking against the pavement, he lightly touched one of his regulars shoulders. "Mm... are you trying to hide from me?" He asked with a slight pout, his full lips pursed in obvious detain. The disgusting creature (he couldn't even consider this thing to be a man), turned immediately gave him a predatory grin. Here it came, just like it had come every night for the passed few years. Within moments, Kae found himself in a dingy alleyway corner with his back pressed against the concrete. His legs shook underneath him as the sudden weight pressed onto him, but he managed to keep himself from tumbling over. A wad of cash was waved in front of his painted face, making the discomfort of the vile man pressing against him more bearable. Misaki will be able to keep the house up, Misaki will be able to have steady meals for the rest of her life, Misaki will be able to live. That was what made this worth it.
When the man finally tore himself away, Kae straightened up, stashed the cash away for later, and fixed himself up again as best he could. His make-up was slightly smeared across his face, and his clothing looked a little disheveled, but such was the life of a prostitute. Oh how he hated that word... Returning to his previous spot by the curb, Kaede tried not to let himself think about what he had let happen. It was no different that what had happened every other night; another set of bruises and the pain that followed was nothing he would have to endure if his mother had to live like this. She deserved better than what Hollowville had to offer. And he would some day be able to save her from this bleak, dark world. One day... If he could manage to save himself.
