Cian had left the flat. Pauley was out and doing her thing, and he didn't feel like being couped up anymore. It was in the morning, so he took his phone with him and called his family. In the park, he sat on a bench and overlooked the area. People watching as he talked to his parents and little brother. They used speaker phone when Cian called. So they could converse like a family. It was a good system they had, and it helped them all stay okay about this situation. It was soon. Very soon after he hung up his phone rang. Cian looked at it and was confused as he hadn't given the number to anyone and his parents never called him. He always called them. He flipped it open and heard a familiar voice on the other end. Immediately he was being lectured about not contacting them. Cian then had to explain what had all happened. But he didn't mention being raped. That was his own dirty secret. Then after all of that he heard it. We have a job for you Cian. Its an easy job. Small, but its key. Cian just sat there. "What?! Are you insane?! I am in no...." a cut in as he told him that he had to do the job. "Fine.... Yea... No, oh no...... Now why would i be upset?" More silence. "No. I'm no' mad at all... I jus' have te go back te work after I've been stuck 'ere... No word. I have been treated like shit by everyone save my girl an' the owner o' a pub I work at! I am recoverin' from a brutal beatin'.. WHY SHOULD I BE UPSET!?" Cian was livid. He didn't want to start working again. Then he realized that he was still in he park and a few people were looking at him. He cleared his throat and left that area. Moving to a quieter and more empty area. He finished the conversation. Cian was going to be contacted again. 24 hours exactly before the deal. Not happy in the least.

Heading home from the meeting with her manager, Pauley had decided to cut through the park that was on her way to the flat. It was a nice day, not too balmy, not too warm. As she walked through the trees, a familiar voice reached her ears and she stopped in her tracks. She heard the voice again, and headed toward it, getting anxious as words got clearer and more heated. The color blind woman could now see the owner of the voice, Cian was standing in a small empty patch, with what looked like his new cell phone in hand. As she approached, she noticed he seemed upset. He was rigid, and she had seen that body language on him before. "Cian, honey. What are you doing here?" She turned and faced him, putting her hand in his.

Hearing her voice he immediately tried to shake off his anger, but he failed at it. He was able to subside some of it. Looking at her as she came around and took his hand. Cian heaved a deep and heavily aggitated sigh. "I got a call.... those buggers tapped me parents phone line te get my number... I was told I am being put back te work.. " He was keeping his voice down this time. "The only good news is tha' I will be stayin' here... I tried protestin' an' nothing about these people will give leaneancy..." He didn't want to be involved anymore, but he couldn't leave. There was only one way out for him at the moment, and that way wasn't very appealing. He knew too much and they would never let him go.

Fuming, Pauley began to pace, her mind racing. She had listened intently to every word, and she was pissed. How those assholes could call him up and expect him to go back to work for them, even after everything they had left him hanging through, she had no idea. They had enough shit going in their lives to have to deal with his old life at the moment. Just the day before she had gone to the doctor to have her contaceptive implant removed, and he was still healing mentally from his attack. He didn't need that kind of crap. Stopping her pace, Pauley turned her head around so fast that her long black ponytail whipped her in the face as she faced the love of her life.
"I'm going with you. You can go, I won't stop you, I couldn't, but I want to go. What is it you are supposed to do? Perhaps I can help." After all, she wasn't afraid to hurt anyone who hurt him, and after what happened the last time he had to do something work related, she wasn't going to let him go in alone. As little help as she might be, she was still more than nothing.

Cian looked at her. Perhaps he shouldn't have said anything. Cian was now wishing he had kept his mouth shut. He knew perfectly well that she knew what he was involved in now. If she ever let slip, even though he knew and trusted her not to, then police would be everywhere, and she would be targetted along with himself. He didn't want that. He listened to her now and took her shoulders in his hands. He pulled her into a hug and then let go of her. Hoping that might do something to calm her down. "Pauley..." He said, once more using a very quiet voice. Not wanting anyone to hear him. "All I know is tha' my work is here. They don' have plans for me te return te Scotland.... I have te stay here.... As for my job. I don' know wha' he has in mind. I won' know until twenty four hours before hand..." He tried to reassure her. Being honest he said, "But I am no' a fighter, an' they know tha'. I will be most likely arrangin' a deal an' a meeting for me boss. Then.. a few weeks later, I am expectin' tha' I will be closin' the deal up. Its wha' I do." He did think about her offer though. "an' Pauley... I don' want ye gettin' hurt, or involved with this. I am worried about ya. This is the kind o' thing tha' could get ye involved without ye wanting it... an' once you are in, the only way out is at the end o' a smokin' silver barrell." A gun shot to the head. Or sometimes creativity would kick in. It all really depended on who was doing the hit.

Shaking her head, Pauley stood on her toes and kisses Cian gently yet hard. "I'm not going to let you go in there alone. If you want me to stay home, then fine. But I want to know for damn sure that you won't be by yourself. I'm not afraid of being at the end of a gun, either end. Dying to save you would be better than not being there to do something if you died. I nearly lost you once, and it won't happen again." She took him by the chin and pulled his face down to meet hers. "I love you, Cian, and I have done, and will do anything to make sure you are safe. I don't give a damn if I am drug into this, but if you ask me to stay home the day you have to go, I will. I won't like it, but I will." She let go of him and wiped a tear from her eye. She took his hand and held it in hers and rested her small head in it. "Just make sure you get out of it alive." Another tear fell, "please."

Cian's brow was furrowed as he listened to her. It tore his heart in half as he wanted her there, but he didn't want her getting involved in anything. He was afraid to go considering what happened the last time and what all the events led to after that. He was still suffering inside. He was still heavily medicated too. But he had to jump when they said it. He didn't have much of a choice. He wiped away her tears. "Please don' cry... I promise I will be alrigh'. Nothing will happen. i garuntee it. " He couldn't promise that. But he was. He was praying that everything would go over well. Being alone without his guards was a scary notion. He held the family's secrets. Locked away in his mind. If someone where to discover that and take him... well, that would ruin him even more. "Come on... lets go for a walk an' try te sweep this under the carpet.. " He held her close to his side. His arm wrapped around her waist as he began to walk with her. 'Wha' were ye up to teday then?" He was definately wanting to change the topic. His work wasn't a good thing to discuss in the open.

Trying to push the subject to the back of her mind to save for later discussion at home. Pauley let him lead her off for a walk around the park. With a heavy sigh, she recalled her brief meeting with her manager. "Oh, things went fine. My manager loved the project, so she has my photos and will find a show to put them in. If all goes well, the whole collection will be sold." Leaning her head on his shoulder, Pauley sighed and tried to enjoy spending a day outside with him. They hadn't been out doors together in a long time, and she wanted to enjoy it. "What else have you been up to today?"

Cian grinned broadly at her news. "tha's great!" He chuckled. "I hope tha' ye can get sales out o' them." He truly did hope so. He then thought about what he had done earlier. "Spoke with me family for a wee bit. They are all still jus' fine." He grinnned at her. "Did the Wii thing for a bit... people watched". He chuckled again. People watching was always good fun to him. Studying habits of different people. Watching them react to the little things in life. Their expressions and whatnot. "Have ye ever people watched?" He asked as they neared the typical trollies of food that every park seemed to have. A couple of kids went running by and bumped into him. He simply grinned and laughed a little as they apologised and ran off.

Putting her hand in his, Pauley let herself enjoy the fact that people could see them out as a couple. As he spoke about how he watched people, she nodded. "Ya, I do that often. Every time I go out for pictures, I watch people. They make perfect subjects." As the little boy bumped into Cian, she laughed, her laughter ringing loud. As she laughed, she couldn't help wonder if after this next meeting would they even be able to have a child of their own. They continued on, walking through the park, the sun soaking through her black tee. Just enjoying the time she had with him before all hell broke lose. "What should we do with the rest of our day?

Cian grinned. Glad that he wasn't the only person who people watched. Even though it was pure and simple common sense that she would considering her career. He grinned at the thought. At her question, he continued to walk with her. Thinking long and hard about that question. An idea struck him. He heaved a content sigh and hoped that she might agree. Cian stopped walking. He didn't care if they were surrounded by people. He faced her and hugged her close. Wrapping his arms around her completely as he held her close. "Well, I can think o' a few things...." He grinned and kissed her lips gently as he kept holding her against his frame. "An' tha' kid gave me another idea..." He looked at her with a careful eye. "would you be ready for somethin' like tha'?" He hoped that she would, but if not, then he could wait.

Surprised as he stopped and kissed her, holding her close, Pauley returned the kiss eagerly, enjoying the brief public display of affection. At his suggestion, the small woman's heart skipped a beat. Of course she wanted a child, she was just shocked he was ready for one. Kissing him, she smiled against his lips. "Lead the way home, love." As they took off for their flat, Pauley couldn't keep from smiling. He wanter her to have his child. This was a real commitment, creating and raising a life together. Never before had she felt so loved then at the moment as they raced across the street and into their building.

Cian beamed as he immediately left the park with her. Being in the park was daring, and he might try to convince her of it some other time, but what they were aiming for was delicate and should not be wasted as a thrill in a public place. He remembered being in a public place once. A movie theater. That was an interesting and thrilling experience. Not to mention on hell of a turn on, but she was just a girl. A girl hired to keep him happy. If only those he worked for knew that didn't make him happy. With Pauley he was happy. He was more then happy with her. Once more he was finding himself in her building. Up the lift and into her flat.
As they entered the door, Cian closed it quickly. A big grin on his face. He was madly in love with her. No one on this planet would ever make him this happy. Even in his darkest hour, and even in the dark moments that he would slip into from time to time, she still made him happy. That was love. She was able to help him through all the rouch patches, even when it seemed like the road had been ripped out from beneath him. She helped him rebuild it. He held her close and pressed his body against hers. Kissing her deeply. Letting all emotion go. Letting it flow freely from him and passing it to her. He loved children and he loved her unconditionally. He wanted her to have his child. He wanted to share that ultimate link with her. He wanted to start a family here. He knew that now. Now more then ever.

Once inside, Pauley pressed herself against him, returning his kisses. She had needed this. This closeness to him ever since he told her about the call. She needed him, needed the assurance that at least for that moment, he was still alive, and still hers. Not theirs. Hers and only hers. Desperate to have him, the small woman pulled him to their room and pushed him onto the bed, ready to give him a show. Kissing him hard, she backed away and began to sway her hips, peeling her clothes off as seductively as she could. Over her head went the black tee she wearing, revealing a black corset that reached the top of her black jeans. She spun around, dancing to her own music, undoing the button on her jeans and unzipping them as she faced the dumbstruck man on their bed. Turning her back to him, her long hair wiping around her face as she pulled the band from it, letting it fall lose, she inched her jeans down, and bent over, stepping out of them, revealing matching black lace panties.
She turned back to him and grinned, her pink eyes full of lust and love as she walked toward him and straddled his hips. “I love you, Cian Mahoney, and I would love nothing more that to have our baby.” Kissing him with heat and desire, she rolled her hips over his pelvis, pulling him close.

He couldn't help the grin that spread on his face as he was pulled into the room and pushed onto the bed. He returned her hard kisses and grins broadly. A little curious when she backed off though. He watched her from his position on the bed still grinning. He knew what she was doing. He had seen that sway before. He had sealed many deals in strip clubs. A place not of his choice, but still. This far more then that. This was a large turn on. Why? Because she was doing it because she loved him. He watched with a smile on his face, getting warmer by the minute. A very playful glint danced in the piercing eyes that once again belonged to him. That weren't a hollow, empty and closed window to his soul. No, his eyes were his again, and he watched. Lust was taking over and he was more the glad when she came over and straddled his hips. "An' I love you too Pauley Morgan..." He sat up straighter as she rolled over his pelvis, coaxing a low groan and a blissful heating throb. He pulled her close and returned that passionate kiss that she dealt out. Loving each moment. He pulled away and beamed at her. Just looking at her for a moment before he kissed her again. Teasing her lips a little, nipping and brushing his lips against hers once more. He had an idea, but he wouldn't exicute it tonight. No, he was going to have to wait a little. Now the idea was causing an even bigger grin to appear. He would follow through later. But right now was all that mattered. He let go of her and pulled his shirt off quickly. Dropping it to the floor, he hugged her close again.
