He sat quietly and thought about it for a moment. he smiled broadly. "I like wine, an' I like movies.. an' I love me some pizza." He looked at her again. A warm smile on his face. "Movie... which one? Any favourites? I don' get out much lately... As for the food an' excellent choice of drink.. need help?" He sat up and leaned forward to get up. Sliding to the edge of the couch.
(Damnit.. shortness wtf is wrong with me?)

Standing to get up, Pauley flipped her braid back over her shoulder. At some point it must have fallen around to the front, resting on her chest. "Most of my movies are older ones. I don't buy many of the newer releases. If you like, I have them all over there on the game self if you want to pick one. Something funny would be great though." Heading over to the kitchen nook, Pauley pulled out the pizza from the fridge along with the bottle of wine. "Is pepperoni alright? Oh, and I have a sweet wine, it's one of my favorites. I also have some whiskey or cola if you prefer." Taking a wine glass for herself, she stood on her tip-toes. "Damn it, I hate being short."

Oh dear good god. He was terrible at choosing movies. It was horrible. He heaved a sigh and slowly made his way to the 'home of the movies'. He looked at it and tried to figure out what film to view. His problem was that he wasn't at all picky about films. He heard her call out about the food and drink. "Pizza.. good choice.. an' I think tha' I'll stick with wine." he smiles and contnues to toil his mind over what to watch. This was possibly the worst thing for him to do. He was never good at makeing choices. It didn't help either that he rarely watched movies. Heaving a sigh as he looked on at the films. "I'm so useless at this." He laughed at his own inability to pick a film, fortunately not all aspects of his life contained inability.

Returning to the living area with warmed up pizza and two glasses of wine, Pauley laughed when she saw Cain still mulling around the movies. She set everything on the glass top of the coffee table and joined her company at the bookshelf. "Having difficulties? Here, this one is good." She pulled 'Without a Paddle' from the second shelf and showed him the cover. "It's about three guys who go a treasure hunt. I can't tell you more without ruining it, but it is funny." Placing the disk in the the dvd player, she hit play and sat back down on the couch. A sip of wine and s bite of pizza later, she was comfortable and ready to enjoy a good movie. "Help yourself. I brought in a couple of plates if you want to use one. There is also more wine in the fridge if you want another glass." Sometimes it was hard playing hostess, but she didn't mind. Cian was great and she was beginning to like him.

"Aye... difficulties would be a good way te put it.. " He grinned and chuckled. Watching her as she reached for a movie of selection. She definately a unique woman. He found her extremely interesting. Full of surprises, and he liked surprises. He nodded at the choice and she slipped it in the machine. Settling in on the chesterfeild, Cian followed in tow as he grabbed a piece of pizza and sat next to her with his wine. Drinking a little back as the opening credits began to roll. He looked at her with a grin. "I'm very 'low' maintenance. Don' have te try too hard." He laughed. Watching as the seventies style home movie played. Four boys messing around. Indiana Jones aspects to their games. Then the bikes. Ramping off.. The small asthmatic kid lagged a little in all the fun. Poor kid looked terrified half the time. Then the graduation shot. Then parting ways to take different choices in life.
He ate away at his pizza quietly. finishing the one piece as he sipped at the wine once more. He would steal a glance at Pauley every so often out of the corner of his eye. She was beautiful. A very attractive and intelligent woman. She also possesed a sight that allowed her to see things differently. Literally. She wouldn't see things as he saw them. But the same could be said for the opposing situation. He sighed gently. How he ended up here he would never know. But people and actions, and the ever changing couse of events called life was definately interesting. More so some days then others.

Relaxing into the couch, the color blind woman let a small sigh escape. It felt so good to just sit there with some good wine and good company. Every so often, she would glance to her left and watch his face as he took in the movie. She was sure he would glance over her direction as well, so she didn't dare look for too long. There was something about him though that was different from the other men she had met in her life. She watched the movie a bit, laughing as the three friends tried to make their way into the tree house. Seth Green was one of her favorite actors. She had read that he had red hair, but of course she really couldn't tell. She knew it was lighter than those with dark hair and darker than light colored hair because of how it appears in gray tones.
Finishing off her glass of wine, Pauley stood and made her way to the kitchen to get the bottle. On the way back to the couch, the sight of Cian sitting on her couch, head resting on the black leather made her stop in her tracks. It seemed right, like the perfect picture. Shaking the thoughts off, she sat back down, refilled her glass, and let serself get lost in the movie.

Cian sighed in content as he sat there. Laughing here and there throughout the movie. He did turn his head a little and watch Pauley as she got up and moved away from the couch. He remained seated and stretched with a yawn. He wasn't tired, and he wasn't bored. He was just yawning. Annoying things they were. He could feel eyes on him, but he tried to ignore that feeling. By this point he couldn't really ignore it anymore. He liked her, and he felt.. no, he knew the feeling was mutual. This was just a case as to who would crack first. Make the first move. Be brave enough to make the first move. He continued watching. The escape on the quad. Water, freezing rain. He had no choice but to laugh as the three tried keeping warm. That was the funniest bit so far in his opinion.
He shot a quick glance over to her once more. A quick one. He smiled a little. This was quite funny. Like children. Both of them. He was probably going to have to make the first move. Or atleast, he could start edging towards it. He got up, and moved forward. Setting the glass down on the table near. He sat back down and when he sat back down, he sat down closer to her. Deliberately. He heaved a content sigh. Taking in the aroma of the place. A sweet scent. He couldn't place it, but he liked it. It wasn't strong, and it wasn't too faint. He continued watching the movie. Looking at her he grinned broadly.

Determined to not look at the man sitting next to her quite so much, Pauley forced herself to stare at the television. It wasn't a hard feat, considering it was one of her favorite movies, and she still laughed at all of the appropriate places. Pauley could feel the air thicken as some kind of tension, or what felt like tension filled the air. As she finished off her second glass of the sweet wine, Pauley laughed at her favorite part of the movie. Three grown men cuddling together on the floor of a small enclave in their underwear. It was classic comedy.
As she felt the couch move beside her, Pauley stubbornly kept her eyes on the television. Sure, she was curious as to what he was doing, but she was sure he was just getting another glass of wine. Weight was once again applied next to her, and it seemed as if he had sat closer to her. Chancing a glance, Pauley felt like a teenager again, on a first date and wanting the other person to make the first move. He had indeed sat back down closer to her. Quite a bit closer. So close in fact, if she were to lean forward to set her glass down like he did, all she would have to do is change her angle a bit as she sat back down, and she would pretty much be in his arms.
It was a nice thought, and one she would have to put into action soon; her glass was empty and didn't make sense to be holding an empty glass. Gathering up a bit courage, Pauley leaned forward to the edge of the couch, and mimicking what he had to have done, she placed her glass onto the glass top and sat back down, angling her body a bit more toward him and sat back against the couch. Now, if he were to move his arm out, it would go right around her. Just like a teenager.

He sighed gently. Enjoying the movie further, chuckling about the mantle piece threat. That would be ugly. Really ugly. Cian tried not to think about it as the threat made him want to hide a little. The idea of having them cut off and well.. set out on display wasn't a very attractive idea. Ya.. he would definately pass on that idea. The cabin, the clothing change that coaxed another chuckle from him.
Feeling a shift on the chesterfeild, Cian looked over as she did what he had done moments earlier. A smile spread across his face as she sat at quite the convenient angle. He watched the screen. Trying to pay attention to it. But the grin on his face spread wider then ever as he tried to contain himself. He was a little frustrated with himself for not doing anything. This was like being an awkward teenager again. It made him want to laugh. Then Cian, as it were, got bold and finally did something. Well, actually two somethings.
Cian placed his arm about her shoulders. Wrapping around and pulling her closer to his frame. He sighed with content as the movie continued on it way. The images flickering by on the screen. 'mmm, squirrel' was right. gross. he thought. Then, by whatever force, be it natural, or Cian made. Probably that second one. Actually ya. it was Cian made. He leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on the top of her head.

Being close to him was almost like being in heaven. Pauley was now close enough to have an idea of what her visitor smelled like. It was a nice scent, musky, and very male, but not too strong and overpowering. Inhaling deeply, lids closed over pink eyes as she tried to memorize the scent. Slowly, she opened her eyes, glanced over at the man next to her, and turned back toward the television. She wanted desperately for him to put a strong arm around her, make her feel special. It was hard, with two glasses of wine in her system, to restrain herself from leaning in for a kiss.
On the screen, the guys had found a cabin with the old man, and she laughed when the cell phone was found. The hair on the back of her neck tingled, and her heart skipped a beat as a string arm wrapped around her shoulders. Content, Pauley grinned and let out a sigh as she sunk comfortably into the body that was holding her tight. When warm, slightly rough lips met her forehead, the woman let herself go. Finally, he had made the first move, and she was going to make the sond one she so desperately wanted to make.
Movie forgotten, Pauley tilted her face up to his, her pink eyes finding Cian's curiously deep gray ones, and she kissed him for the second time that night. It was if for just a moment, for a split second, the color blind woman who could only see in shades of gray, could see the colors as they passed before her eyes. This is what heaven was like.

He smiled. Looking down at her as she kissed in return. No more movie. He was going to forget about the movie right now. His attentions were souly focused on her now. the first moves were made, and now everything was in the open. The air was cleared of the previous tension that had formed and his suspicions were correct. Cian suddenly didn't feel so alone in this place. It was thanks to her. Right now, he felt he belonged somewhere. He lifted his free hand and cupped her face gently. Turning her to face him as he got bold and gently let his lips brush against hers in a sweet caressing kiss. After the kiss he gently nuzzled her gently. Then placed another soft kiss on her lips.

All thoughts of anything vanished from her mind as Pauley felt her heart try to escape from her chest. Her fingers once more twined within soft hair as she threw all she had into her kisses. Her lips parted and she gasped as he pulled away, only to return with a softer, gentler kiss. She finally felt at home. With just a kiss, it seemed as if Pauley's whole world came together and it all depended on him being right there, entwined like this.
In dire need of air, she pulled away, her breathing labored, pink eyes dialated, her face flushed. It had been years since she had kissed anyone like that, and never had she thought she could see color just because of a kiss. Grabbing the wine bottle and taking a long drink, Pauley caught her breath and grinned. She bit her bottom lip as she looked up at Cian. "Um, that was....well, that was... I don't know what that was."
With wine slicked lips, she leaned in and kissed him softly, resting her hand around the back of his neck, never wanting to let him go.

Cian was grateful of the response she had given him. A definate signal that he hadn't gone too far. This felt right to him. But it seemed that however right it all felt, it still had shocked Pauley. Well, he couldn't blame her. The two were near strangers and here they were, at her place, drinking wine and kissing on the chesterfield. He watched her and listened to her confused small babble. Deciding to have a little fun with it. "Well lass... where I come from.. tha' is called a kiss." He chuckled and smiled broadly into the kiss that she gave him. Her hand resting on the back of his neck caused automatic movement.
Cian shifted in his place. Turning so that he might be more comfortable. He then pulled her in closer so that she was right up against him now. Holding her there with one arm. While his free hand rested on the back of her head gently. His kisses continued a little longer. He nipped gently at her bottom lip and then placed a soft kiss in its stead. He let his hands down to her waist. Then sliding across her back in a gentle and careful caress. He pulled from the kiss. Trying to comprehend what he was doing. "I'm sorry, this is too bold o' me isn' it?" Last thing he wanted was to make her feel uncomfortable.

Relaxing into the caresses, Pauley reliquished all control of the situation to him. Oh yes, she still responded to his kisses with a furvor, but she was no longer worried about if she had strpped out of bounds. getting lost in his touch, she woman never even realized he had pulled her closer and was holding her tightly to him. Grinning, she responded to his question by shaking her black ponytail and pressing herself into him, seeking another deep kiss.

Cian proceeded then. With her silent, yet very loud answer, he felt comfortable. Continuing to kiss her. Both his arms snaking around her. With her pulled tightly against his frame, Cian shifted again. Picking her up a little. Laying her back against the couch. He hovered over her a little as he continued caressing her lips with his own. Nipping at her bottom lip gently, Cian moved his kisses from her lips to her jawline and down her neck. He caught a quick glimpse of the screen. Answering machine proposal. That was sweet. No time for a movie though. Cian continued kissing her then he moved to her lips once more. Locking them close as he ran his right hand down her side. Along her curves to rest upon her hip.
