Yes, he was young. Yes, this was stupid. Yes, again it was Cael. Defying wishes and sneaking out. He had done it once before. Nothing bad happened. So perhaps a second time wouldn't hurt. There was no way it could. He was two things. Both smart and stupid. Possibly stupidly smart. But he had snuck out again. The youngblood left the kitten at home tonight and crept out the window. Helping himself off the roof and dropping down. Taking off once more into the night. He liked being out. Somehow though, he always wandered so far from the home, and tonight it found him out on 21st street. Right off the bat he knew this was a bad idea, but he couldn't help it. A few women had approached him, but he wasn't into buying what they were selling. It was once more a stupid idea and he knew better then that. But there was something. A noise of sorts and so he followed it. As he turned down an alley towards the sound, a trash bin was knocked over by a cat. He leapt and spun around to see the cat taking off, but as he turned back he ran into someone and he jumped again. giving a little yelp.

Ares had finished gathering his money for that day, he was packing up his violin. He wanted to get out of this area before it got too late. He really didn't need anyone else approaching him and offering him their body. Or worse, someone coming up to him and asking 'how much?' He shuddered as he remembered that incident. And the person asking hadn't just let him say 'no.' Instead, he had kept going, almost raping the poor kid before Ares managed to escape and hide behind some cardboard boxes. But now he was fine for the moment. No one had approached him and he was going to get out of that area. In his hand was a draw-string bag that he had been able to purchase- unlike his author's other character, he had started out with a few things to get him going in life. Sure he was still homeless, but he ate regularly and was only slightly underweight. His music made him go pretty far for a homeless kid. But then he felt his body stiffen. He had heard the crashing of a trash bin. Thankfully, it was only that and nothing more. He recovered quickly and started to move again before he felt someone bump into him. The boy, dressed in old sweats, an old black shirt, jellybeans in his pockets and a violin on his back jumped as well, looking at the person before figuring things were okay. He stood, taking a jellybean out of his pocket and eating it slowly.

Cael stood there for a moment. Staring back at the guy he had bumped into. Um.. wow. I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to run into you. I wasn't looking. stammered the young Scot. He stopped talking then and decided to take in the boy's appearance. A violin? Musician. Cael wondered if he was any good or not. He was probably good at it. Better then he could ever be. Cael had no talent with any string instruments. He was bad at it. Cael could draw, but playing music was not his forte. Well, this was awkward. He looked around a little. Cael was a talker. He liked conversations. Silence made him uneasy. So uh... do... you live near here? Have any pets? I'm Cael.. whats your name? He quickly stopped himself. Sorry.. i didn't meant to hit you with questions. Ya, he was uncomfortable with the location. That was mainly it. He didn't want to stand in one place too long either should he be approached. That wouldn't end well.

Ares held up his hand gently, dismissing the apology. It wasn't necessary. He didn't care much as he put another jellybean in his mouth. The boy seemed to be examining him. Or at least observing his appearance. Ares blinked before he heard the other guy ask questions. He was only slightly surprised by the amount, but he would answer. He didn't exactly like to talk. He was more too shy to really speak and too unmotivated to try and break that. He spoke, "I might live near here for the day," when you were on the streets like he was, any place became your home. And so that was his answer, "No, I don't have any pets, and you can call me Ares or Sho... whatever makes you happy," he said simply before eating another jellybean. He looked at the sugary treats in his hand as he took the bag and held it out for Cael, offering him some of the treats.

Cael smiled at he looked at the curious boy. Not very talkative. That was for sure. He beamed upon hearing what he could call him. Cael looked at him carefully for a moment. You look like an Ares to me. I think I will call you that, if you don't mind. He beamed at him again at the offering. Peering at the bag, he was curious and only took one bean. He looked at it closely for a moment. Like he was trying to understand the bean or something, then he popped it into his mouth and ate it. He looks at Ares and very politely thanks him. Thank you very much Ares, those are really good... He spied the violin again and looked at it for a moment. His brow creases in curiosity. Do you play the violin Ares? I bet you are really good at it. He was banking on it.

Ares had to smile when Cael came to the conclusion of what name to call him. He liked that reasoning. He liked it more than any other reasoning people normally had. Of course, he didn't often give his middle name to people for them to use so loosely. And when he offered the jellybean, it seemed as if the guy didn't know what they were. And so in the time it took for Cael to eat the sugary treat, he had already eaten two. Putting them in his mouth and chewing the pure sugar before putting the next one in his mouth. And then he noticed the kid's eyes go towards his violin. He heard the question and nodded with a smile. Yes he played. He had been playing for as long as he could remember. He loved it. He took the violin off his back before pointing at it and looking at him with wide eyes, asking if he wanted him to play something for him.

His eyes lit up a little as Ares removed the violin from his back. Cael watched the movements. He smiled. Beaming at him with the motion. Was he actually going to play something? Really?! NO WAY! He smiled at him. Would you really play for me? He asked with wide eyes. He was really hoping that Ares would play. Cael really enjoyed music. Music of all sorts. I have nothing specific in mind... just anything really. He was judging from the situation that Ares didn't have a real place to call home. So he would be sure to give him whatever money was in his pockets for playing. He smiled at him. But soon that smile was wiped away. He felt a hand on his shoulder. He stared straight ahead and didn't flinch as he heard the voice. How much for the pair of you? His voice was heavy and his breath could be smelled a mile away. Cael didn't even want to turn around to see the guy. The grip on his shoulder gave a squeeze and he closed his eyes for a moment as if he was disgusted. He opened them and looked at Ares. He didn't know how to deal with people like this. So he just said, Um... not for sale... It was quietly said and the guy behind him squeezed his shoulder a little more and chuckled deeply. Your cute... but seriously, how much? Cael was now seriously regretting coming out. Maybe he should have just stayed in and not left. He shrugged a little to move the hand off of him, and tried to take a step forward. But that grip was tight. Sir... I suggest that you leave us alone. He looked to Ares with a look that pleaded for help. He really didn't know how to deal with this at all.

Ares smiled brightly at Cael's excitement that he would play his violin. He always appreciated it when people really did enjoy listening to him. He had brought his violin to his front, kneeling down to unzip the case and take out the wooden instrument. Cael said he didn't have a preference for what song he wanted to hear. So Ares had mentally chosen the song. Probably Canon Rock. His single most favorite piece of music to play for people. It was so fun and- his thoughts were interrupted as he felt another presence. No, he didn't have any supah powahs or anything. Just here, he was sensitive to people being there sometimes. He looked up to see the hand on Cael's shoulder and he zipped up the case before putting it on his back. Just one look at Cael's face would tell anyone that the boy was less than amused. Ares took the time to plan his attack. Or at least asses the situation. Ares had dealt with men like these before. The ones who would chase you sometimes too. The kind Ares hated with every fiber of his being. He moved forward calmly before his movements became faster, probably faster than the man had expected. Ares put himself between Cael and the man before lifting up his leg and kicking sharply at the man's jewels. He had let out a squeal of pain, releasing Cael as Ares moved forward, grabbing Cael's hand to try and tug him along with him to make a break for it.

He watched in silence as Ares packed the violin up and sling it to his back again. For just a split second he almost, almost thought that he was going to turn around and leave him there. Cael wasn't liking this. He hoped Ares knew what to do. Cause this guy was gripping him tighter, and there was a slight massage to the hold. It was really making him uncomfortable. Seeing Ares move closer, his movements suddenly became quick. Cael didn't know what happened, but he heard the cry and felt the man release him. Then Ares took his hand. He looked at their hands and looked at Ares, then back to the guy as he was bent over in pain, yet recovering and he didn't seem too happy. Cael decided to run with Ares. It was the best idea and he seemed to know what he was doing. So Cael ran with him. Anything to get away from that guy. Temptation struck him and he looked back. His eyes widened. No.. he was.. Ares... He said. Then looking forward as he ran. He's following... What are we going to do? He was getting scared. Fear for Cael meant tears. Whenever he was scared he would cry. But he struggled with it and managed to hold in his tears.

Ares was really, really glad that he didn't have to do much more urging than pulling him along with his hand. He didn't know what he would have done if Cael was too freaked to follow. But when Cael's hand was firmly in his he took off. He kept running, but then he heard Cael's voice. The guy... he was chasing after them? Why was he so determined to get them? Ares looked behind him at the man as well. He was desperately trying to think of a plan. To think of some way to get out of here. But before he could think of anything he had to skid to a stop as he looked up. Right before him was another man. He was a little taller, but the same dark thoughts were obviously running through his head. He moved forward, taking a hold of Ares' front wrist (his other was behind him holding onto Cael) and pulling him closer. Ares' felt his hand release Cael's from the force as the man gripped is wrist tighter. He looked up, speaking to the man who had been chasing from behind, Having a bit of trouble, are we? Ares tried pulling himself away from the man, but each time he pulled, the grip got tighter. And so he figured the next best thing would be to kick. He moved to pull his leg back to kick him as well, but before he could, he felt the violin being ripped swiftly from his back, the man releasing him just enough to get the strap over his hand before gripping it once again. Now. Both of you. Come quietly or I'll break it. Ares' face turned white at the threat as he quickly obeyed the order, not struggling anymore.

The man kept on chasing them. His feet hitting the ground faster as he regained his... strength? He was recovering from the kick quickly. Cael meanwhile looked back again. This was getting bad. He didn't feel like being here anymore. He wanted to go home and stay indoors. At home with the kitten, and Cian and Pauley. Ares could come too. Then neither of them would have to be out here with this guy. But Ares stopped for some reason. He turned to face forward and saw another man. No trouble.. But watch it. That little one with the violin is a kicker. He smiled a little but shot a glare at Ares. You can have him.. I want the other.. he is less of a squirmer. He smiled at Cael, and Cael wanted to vomit. He felt Ares let go and stepped back a little. He hadn't realized the first guy was so close behind him as he literally backed right into him. Immediately he felt a hard grip around his upper arms as the man grabbed him and held him fast. He didn't plan on letting go either. Let me go! Cael squirmed and kicked a little. Feeling panic set in, but he saw the action as Ares' violin was taken. Hearing what the second man had to say. He didn't want to break Ares' violin. Or be the cause actually. So he gave up. He could feel tears welling up in his eyes. They were going bloodshot and glassy. He was officially terrified now. He felt a jerk of movement as he was being moved. I think we should get this started. I'm getting antsy. More movement. Impatient and ready to go, Cael was soon being taken with the large bloke down the alley. Where ever they were going, he knew that he wouldn't like it. He shot a scared look back at Ares. A little more worried for Ares then himself.

At hearing about Ares and his tendency to kick, Bob just grinned, looking down at the boy as he put the violin over his shoulder. His long red hair (about the same length as Dante's) fell over his other shoulder as he spoke, Well then, we'll have to do something to make sure he can't kick, he pulled Ares' hand into him, but slightly to the side so that Ares landed, bumping into him while trying to keep balance. Right when he was there, so close to the older man, he moved his free hand to enclose around him, holding him close to his side. The violin on the opposite shoulder. Ares' eyes were wide now with panic as he glanced nervously at the violin. He just wanted it back... that's all he wanted. To have that back and then to be able to go somewhere else. He glanced over nervously at Cael and saw him start to panic as well. But then he felt himself being moved, the hand holding him tight to the body traveling down his side. His heart beat faster, his breathing became labored out of panic. But Bob didn't care. Instead, he followed, and he spoke, So after, are we going to keep them, let them free, or kill them? I'm up for the first and last. Unless you have another option.

Fred chuckled darkly at the concept. They could always get rope and tie the little bugger down. Make sure he wouldn't kick. already a few ideas were running through his mind as to what could be with and to the kid in his grips. Hearing his partner's suggestions were good ones at that. But he felt he had to agree. Letting them go wasn't an option. I agree with you.. but I am thinking that we do both the first and the last. Keep them until we get bored, then knock 'em off. They have seen our faces. It would be very stupid to just let them walk out. Cael struggled against the grip and felt it tighten around his arms. He scrunched his face up a little. Flexing his muscles a little to try and ease some space up, but he was only making matters worse for himself. He recieved a knee in his back for his trouble and it coaxed a squeak from him. That was far from comfortable. He squirmed a little more. Fighting against each step. He kept up this fight for a while. His heart was starting to race. Pounding loudly in his chest. He really was hoping for a miracle. But he didnt think it was going to come. He cranked his head back and looked at Ares who looked just as scared as he felt. Poor guy. He struggled a little more once again and then gave up for the time being. He didn't want to tired himself out. Fred gave a gleaming smile as he held tightly. Cael was a fighter and he liked that.
The group then eventually came up to an old warehouse. Fred kicked the door open and moved inside. The interior was a lot nicer then the first appearnce of the exterior of the building. Inside, Cael immediately began looking around. Remembering what his brother had told him. If anything happened, like being kidnapped. Immediately search and examine your surroundings if you can. So he did this. It was a good idea. It distracted his mind, and let him take in the space. It looked half ass domestic... ish. Kind of atleast. Livable was the word. It was far from fancy and looked dingy. Dragged further. Out of this main area and into a room. In the room there were all sorts of things. A large table, even... what was that? Cael had to squint a little in the poor light. His eyes widening a little. Shackles? Couldn't be. A couple of wooden chairs. Hanging lights and several... items... out on display nearly. Well, you could call it that. Cael didn't look. He didn't think he needed to know specifically what was in the room or on the walls. In the corners and stained in the floor. He knew it wasn't a good place. He knew these were not good people, so he assumed that this room had nothing good in it. That was all he needed to know. He fought a little more as his ankle became shackled to the wall on a longer chain. Fred tok the key that was bunched in his fist and set it down on the table top near the edge. Maybe I was wong.. he is squirmy. A fighter, but in a fun way.. ya know? He smirked.

When Ares heard the plan for them, he started struggling against the man's grip. He gave a sharp look down, squeezing his wrist painfully tight, I swear, if you don't stop struggling right now, I'll break the damn violin, he hissed. Ares immediately stopped as Bob grinned. So. How much power did having the violin on his back actually hold? He would have to check that out... he'd have to experiment. But for now... his hand moved lower on Ares' body, causing the boy to shudder at the touch, shutting his eyes before realizing he had to keep them open at least to walk. He saw Cael struggling from the hold. He wanted to rush to him, he wanted to help save him since it felt like it had been his fault. His fault that they were in this situation. He could have fought back more. He could have kicked and punched. But he had his violin. He needed that. He needed that instrument. He wanted it back. As he was being dragged, Bob chuckled, Heh. You're pretty light, aren't you? the mocking tone reached Ares' ears and he just shot a look right at him before the guy pointed at the violin he had. And Ares immediately looked down, submitting to his movements, ignoring the wandering hand. Bob chuckled once more. This would be fun. He could command whatever he wanted. And the kid would obey him.
Of course, no one had instructed Ares on what to do in the case he was kidnapped. Since, especially now, no one really cared. No one knew him except for the people who he played violin for. But they were few and far between, often only visiting when they were in the right place at the right time. And that had been fine for him. Except for times like these. Now, no one knew or cared enough about who he was to come and save him. But his eyes shot up when they arrived into the warehouse. They shot around the room, like a nervous deer almost, checking the surroundings. He didn't like it. He wanted to go back to where he was. He wanted to play his violin. That's all he wanted in life. He felt himself being escorted deeper into the warehouse. When they were there, Ares glanced around, his eyes adjusting easily to the surrounding area due to being used to dim light, or no light, from living on the streets. He was pulled in front of Bob, who grinned down as he moved forward, causing Ares to move back. And soon, Ares' back hit the wall. Stay boy. he chuckled before turning briefly, placing the violin on the table next to the key as he moved to a cabinet on the side, taking a rope. He moved back to Ares, bending to tie the legs together. That's when Ares noticed his chance. The guy was bent. Ares had the advantage. And so just before the rope was tied around his legs, he kicked out, catching the guy in his stomach.
And in that slight moment of distraction, Ares took off, heading towards the violin. At least if he had it, he wouldn't feel so scared. He'd be more free to fight back. And then there was the key. He'd get it and set loose Cael. But despite his speed, before he could get to it, he felt a hand grip his ankle. The sixteen-year-old boy tumbled to the ground, scraping his wrists and elbows, the sting going through his body as he felt added pressure on him as he laid, face down, on the ground. Son of a bitch. Ares kept struggling to push the man off of him, but Bob only put his knee between Ares' shoulder blades, turning around to tie Ares' legs together. He turned back, pulling Ares' arms behind him, tying with the same rope, leaving the boy hogtied. Once done with the knot Bob stood up, using his foot to move Ares onto his side. He was pissed. More at himself for being so careless, but pissed at the boy for trying something like that. He moved over to the violin case, opening one pocket and taking out Ares' life supplies (like spare clothes, toiletries, etc.). He found jellybeans, a bottle of bubbles, and... heh, he liked this find, I normally don't forgive. But this cash will pay for at least a part of the damage," he chuckled as he pulled out a small bag of the cash Ares' had earned.

Fred, having chained up his.. prize of the evening, stood back a little. Interested in seeing how he handled the "kicker". Already he was smirking at the actions taken. Laughing as Bob was kneed and as the kid made a break for it. I told you to watch him! He laughed some more. Meawhile, Cael was up against the wall. Putting his feet flat against it. Holding the chain with his hands and pulling tightly. Trying his hardest to try and pull away from the wall and free himself. Then he would move to Ares. But soon he watched Ares go down and it looked like a painful landing. Watching as Ares's things were being rummaged through. He lunged forward at the guy. Nearly charging him, but the chain at his ankle tugged tight and he hit the floor. So he looked up at him with a scowl on his face. Leave his things alone! Let us GO! However he soon felt a hard blow on the back of his head.
Cael face planted the floor hard. Shut up you little tight fisted bastard! Cael was a little shocked. This man had enough intelligence to make a comment about his origins.. wait.. he was smart enough to know what country he was from?! Wow.. that was a shocker. Cael lifted his head. His nose was bleeding a little. Shut up! let us go you meat head git! He felt a quick grab on the scruff of his neck. Then he was grabbed by one of his arms aswell. He was thrown to the wall and Fred got right in his face as he pinned him to the wall. Staring him down. Pressing his forehead against Cael's own. Not shouting, but speaking harsly and firmly. DON'T you ever talk to me like that again! Do you hear me?! Cael stared back into his face. His eyes wide with terror. He didn't much like this close proximity. Fred grabbed Cael's hair roughly, bringing tears to the boy's eyes and then firmly pressed his lips to Cael's own. Kissing him for a moment before pulling away with a smile. Now shut.. up... Cael just stared at him. He really wanted to go home.
